Voices call Koch to helm ‘Seven Minutes’

'Snow' director to guide tale of a male teen's pursuit of a supermodel

Chris Koch (“Snow Day”) will helm “Every Seven Minutes” for 2K Media-owned shingle Original Voices.

Written by Laurice Elehwany and Rick Copp (“The Brady Bunch Movie”), pic will be produced by Original’s Paul E. Harvey and David Kerwin of Konk Inc.

Story centers on a 17-year-old male virgin’s pursuit of a supermodel during his summer vacation. The title refers to the supposed time that the average male thinks about sex.

Casting and location scouting is under way with lensing expected by year’s end.

Elehwany and Copp wrote “The Rules” and “Private Parts” for Paramount. Elehwany also penned “My Girl.” Koch’s “Snow Days,” a Paramount release starring Chevy Chase, grossed more than $60 million domestically.

Formed in 1997 by David Kirkpatrick, Original Voices has produced such pics as “The Opposite of Sex,” “Bruno” and “The Whole Shebang.” The company was recently acquired by 2K Media, the quickly expanding German production and distribution company.

Koch’s deal was negotiated by Peter Nelson and Warren Dern of Nelson, Felker Levine and Dern, as well as by Endeavor.
