Vivendi Universal, currently working in India under the name Universal Music, plans to focus on the production of Indian films and TV shows, as well as on launching music delivery systems.
V.J. Lazarus, Universal India’s president and managing director, said the company has invested $7 million on three local films so far. Universal’s music library in India, largely consisting of Hindi film soundtracks, is soon to become a part of Universal Vivendi’s online library.
