Independent Film Channel-backed Next Wave Films will finance its first U.K. digital feature in “The Trouble With Men and Women.” The film is being fully funded through Next Wave’s production arm, Agenda 2000, which finances and produces digital features for wide release.
Currently shooting in London, “Trouble” is writer-director Tony Fisher’s feature film debut, a comic drama that depicts the sentimental education of a Candide-like young man. Christopher Simon produces.
Fisher and Simon previously collaborated on the short film “To Hell With Love,” which screened at the London Film Festival last year.
Cast includes Joe McFadden (“Small Faces”), Kate Ashfield (“The War Zone”) and Matthew Delamere (“8 1/2 Women”).
Previous digital features backed by Agenda 2000 include the just-wrapped “Manic” and “Paper Chasers,” which is in production.
