Screenwriter Darryl Quarles, who penned the Martin Lawrence feature “Big Momma’s House” currently in production for 20th Century Fox, has signed with UTA for representation in all areas.
He recently sold his spec script “The Black Night,” now in pre-production at New Regency with Chris Tucker (“Rush Hour”) attached to star and F. Gary Gray (“The Negotiator”) attached to helm. Quarles is managed by Aaron Ray at the Firm.

The Gersh Agency has taken on three new clients: thesp/chanteuse Rebekah Johnson (“Liberty Heights”); Chyler Leigh of the WB’s “Safe Harbor”; and Nicholas Lea, who co-stars with Bill Paxton in Sony’s upcoming feature “The Vertical Limit.”
