“Central Station” helmer Walter Salles has started lensing his newest feature, but the tentatively entitled “Estacao das Aguas” is shrouded in secrecy.
Salles is adapting Albanian writer Ismail Kadare’s novel “Broken April,” the tale of a vendetta in the highlands of Albania, to Brazil’s impoverished northeastern region in the early 1900s. Salles is filming in Ibotirama, a tiny town in the state of Bahia.
