Veteran publicity executive Scott Levine has been promoted to vice president, East Coast publicity, for Universal Pictures.
Levine, who joined the studio in 1998, has been serving as executive director, East Coast publicity. He will continue to head the studio’s New York office and oversee all East Coast publicity on domestic features.
Levine has worked on campaigns for “The Mummy,” “Notting Hill,” “American Pie,” “October Sky” and “The Best Man.” He previously served as head of the New York national publicity office for 20th Century Fox.
Levine will report to Terry Curtin, executive vice president, national publicity, and Jeffrey Sakson, senior vice president, na-tional publicity. “I have known Scott for years, dating back to our days at Fox,” Curtin said. “He has been an integral part of the fabulous team we have in place at Universal.”
