Entertainment completion bond company Intl. Film Guarantors has tapped Frank Isaac VP of production. He will report to exec veep of production Joan Weidman.
Isaac joins IFG from his post as production president at Prosperity Pictures, where he supervised a slate that included “Beautiful,” the upcoming directorial debut of Sally Field, starring Minnie Driver.
Isaac launched his industry career as a line producer on MGM’s 1982 “The Beastmaster.” Isaac subsequently produced six pics for Roger Corman under the Concorde/New Horizons banner.
A stint at the Completion Bond Co. was followed by a six-year post at Shapiro Glickenhaus Entertainment, where he supervised a 17-pic slate and produced the HBO world premiere thriller “Slaughter of the Innocents,” starring Scott Glenn. He also served as co-producer of Rastar’s “Dr. Jekyll & Ms. Hyde” for Savoy Pictures.
Isaac became VP of production and distribution services for Largo Entertainment in 1996, overseeing physical production for all Largo projects including “GI Jane” and “John Carpenter’s Vampires.” In addition, he also served as co-producer of “City of Industry,” “This World Then the Fireworks,” “Under Pressure,” “Shadow of Doubt,” “Finding Graceland” and “Affliction.”
