Heche, Williams reach for ‘Prozac’

Lensing begins May 15

Michelle Williams and Anne Heche have joined the cast of “Prozac Nation,” the pic based on Elizabeth Wurtzel’s bestselling novel.

Thesps join Christina Ricci, Jason Biggs and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

Lensing begins May 15 in Vancouver and Boston. Norwegian helmer Erik Skjoldbjarg (“Insomnia”) is directing. Heche will play Dr. Sterling, who treats Wurtzel (Ricci). Williams will play Ruby, Wurtzel’s best friend.

Financing comes from Avi Lerner’s Millennium Films along with Cinerenta Films. Millennium’s Brad Weston will produce along with Galt Neiderhoffer. Exec producers are Lerner, Willi Baer and Paul Miller.

Script was penned by Neiderhoffer and Alex Orlovsky. Frank Deasy penned a later draft.

Story centers on Wurtzel’s freshman year at Harvard and her bout with depression.

Heche is repped by ICM and manager Lauren Lloyd at MBST/Lloyd Prods, Williams by Endeavor and manager Jason Weinberg. Millennium’s end of the pact was negotiated by lawyer Jason Frankel at Barab, Kline & Coate.
