Casey Silver’s Gone Fishing shingle has reeled in “Game Boy,” a pitch from scribe John Mattson, for mid-six against low-seven figures. Silver will produce the project.
“Game Boy” centers around an Indiana Jones-type action hero who discovers that he’s actually the star of a bestselling online computer game.
Mattson’s produced credits are Paramount’s “Milk Money” and Warner Bros.’ “Free Willy 2” and “Free Willy 3.”
The scribe last year sold the comedy/fantasy pitch “Food” to Jan De Bont and Lucas Foster’s Fox-based Blue Tulip Prods. De Bont is attached to direct. Mattsen is writing the script.
“Food” is a live-action and CGI-animation pic that tells the story of Thanksgiving dinner from the point a view of the food.
Mattson’s deal was negotiated by his agents Justin Silvera and Bruce Kaufman at Broder, Kurland, Webb, Uffner and attorney Steve Warren at Hanson, Jacobson, Teller, Newman and Warren.
