Docu org names noms

'September,' 'Legacy' among nominated

The Intl. Documentary Assn. has selected “One Day in September,” “Legacy” and “Punitive Damage” as nominees in the feature docu category for the 16th annual Distinguished Documentary Achievement Awards, to be held Oct. 27 at the Los Angeles Center Studios.

Other feature nominees include Sundance Film Festival winner “Paragraph 175,” “Back in Auschwitz,” “Face to Face: The Schappell Twins,” “Gulag,” “The Most Unknowable Thing,” “The Prince Is Back,” “Stranger With a Camera,” “Swedish Tango” and “Through a Blue Lens.”

The IDA will present prizes in the feature-length, short, strand and limited series categories as well as the IDA/David L. Wolper Student Documentary, ABC News Videosource and the Paul Lorentz awards.
