Disney rounds out cast of Kattan’s ‘Corky’

Roundtree, Penn, others mob Mafia laffer

HOLLYWOOD — Disney has inked deals with Vinessa Shaw (“The ’70s”), Chris Penn, Peter Berg, Dave Sheridan (“Scary Movie”), Matthew Glave (“The Wedding Singer”) and Richard Roundtree to the join the cast of “Corky Bonono,” set to begin lensing Wednesday in Los Angeles.

Rob Pritts is directing, and Chris Kattan will star in the comedy. David Garrett and Jason Ward (“The Jeff Foxworthy Show”) penned the script based on a character Kattan developed.

Simonds to produce

Universal-based producer Robert Simonds is producing, with Tracy Trench handling exec producer duties. Buena Vista Motion Pictures Group prexy Nina Jacobson supervises the project along with senior veep Gregg Hoffman and creative exec Michael Haynes.

“Corky” revolves around the estranged goofball son of a Mafia capo posing as an undercover FBI agent to find out what the feds have on Dad.

Roundtree is repped by Stone Manners and managed by Patrick McMinn. Glave is repped by Mark Armstrong at Sanders Management and Susan Smith & Associates.

Penn is repped by MBST Entertainment, Shaw by Industry Entertainment and UTA, Berg by Endeavor and AMG and Sheridan by 3 Arts Entertainment.
