Parker to adapt Barker WWI-era thriller novel

“Eye of the Door” will be released through the October Films label of USA.

Written by British author Pat Barker, “Eye in the Door” is the second book in a trilogy of World War I-set novels. His other books are “Regeneration” and “The Ghost.” The latter won the Booker Prize.

“Eye” is a psychological thriller set in London revolving around a soldier who returns to civilian life but is assigned to the internal espionage division of the British army. The soldier becomes embroiled in intrigues that ultimately put him under investigation.
