Reports in a column on USA Films appearing in Thursday’s paper have been challenged by executives of that company and by others doing business with USA Films. These sources deny that discussions are taking place to merge USA Films with the newly created Universal Focus company. Also refuted are statements that the future of Scott Greenstein or Russell Schwartz at USA Films is in question.

“Nurse Betty,” released by USA Films, has turned a substantial profit for the company, according to industry sources, and will likely gross $25 million in the U.S.
