BERLIN — Constantin Film has reached an agreement with shareholder the Kirch Group which gives Constantin theatrical and video distribution rights for Germany and Austria on all product from the U.S. production entity Hyde Park Entertainment.
Deal, which runs for five years, follows a similar agreement between Kirch and Constantin signed last year that gave Constantin German and Austrian distribution rights on all product from KirchMedia and its related companies.
That deal gave Constantin theatrical rights to Kirch output deals such as with Spyglass Entertainment and its pact with Robert Redford’s Wildwood Enterprises. It was unclear at that time whether the Hyde Park deal would be included within that agreement.
Constantin has its own output deal with Escape Artists, and it recently struck various production and development deals with a number of players including Propaganda Films, Impact Pictures and Key Entertainment.
