‘Amy’ bows World Wide distrib arm

Tass, Parker pic notes musical expression

Paul Hancock’s World Wide Motion Pictures is expanding into the theatrical distribution biz with the release of “Amy,” an Australian film directed by Nadia Tass and starring Rachel Griffiths (“Hilary and Jackie”).

Written by Tass and David Parker, pic concerns a young girl traumatized by a tragic loss who can communicate only through music.

In addition, WWMP has signed a seven-year licensing agreement with SoftOrbit.com for the Webcasting of WWMP’s library of nearly 300 titles. Deal also covers e-commerce for homevideo and DVD.

WWMP has traded on the OTC Electronic Bulletin Board since 1983 and is preparing to move to Nasdaq’s SmallCap exchange.
