Alcon Entertainment will pay Eric Nicholas low- against mid-six figures to adapt the thriller “Coyote Enterprises,” an unpublished book by Gil Roscoe.
Project was brought into Alcon by veep Steven Wegner.
“Coyote” is a crime noir centering on an “everyman” seduced into a soul-destroying con by his femme-fatale ex-girlfriend.
Nicholas’ original spec “Academic Misconduct” is in development at Canadian indie shingle Industry Entertainment, run by John Hamilton and David Reckziegel. Nicholas is also on board to direct.
The scribe’s “Weaker Sex” is in development at Blue Rider. He has also completed an untitled rewrite for Artisan.
