CANNES — Dennis Quaid has signed to star in “Stranger Than the Wheel,” which will be produced with Industry Entertainment and co-financed by Filmtown Entertainment, which will also rep the film’s foreign rights.

Industry’s Geyer Kosinski, David Carmel and Marc Evans will produce in association with Blye Brothers Entertainment and Bender/Spink.

Pic reteams Quaid with “Savior” helmer Peter “Gaga” Antonijevic. Written by Joe Vinciguerra, “Stranger” tells the story of a man who goes on an emotional journey to find his past and shatters his father’s destructive legacy.

Quaid will serve as executive producer along with Filmtown senior veep Ladd Vance, CEO Alan Mruvka and president Joseph Nittolo. Production is expected to start in September.
