Newsday chief film critic John Anderson and Film Comment writer-in-residence Kathleen Murphy will replace Robert Sklar and Wendy Keys as selection committee members of the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s New York Film Festival.
Also, Vogue film critic John Powers will be temporarily replaced by L.A. Weekly film editor and Harper’s Bazaar film critic Manohla Dargis.
Other committee members are New York Times film columnist and CitySearch.com senior film critic Dave Kehr and Film Society program director Richard Pena. Powers, who is also a film critic for NPR’s “Fresh Air,” is expected to return next year.
Board experience broad

Murphy’s writing has appeared in the Village Voice, Movietone News, Newsweek-Japan and elsewhere. Dargis has written for the Washington Post, the Nation and the New York Times.
Sklar served on the committee for four years; Keys stepped down last fall after 12 years.
Now in its 38th year, the New York Film Festival yearly showcases roughly 30 features and shorts at various Lincoln Center venues.
