ShowBIZData.com has tapped John T. Wells senior veep of acquisitions and strategic partnerships, Jan Kean senior VP of publicity and media relations, and Marc Hernandez director of development.
Wells, who has launched over 18 online stores for companies including Tribune, Viacom and NBC, will be responsible for targeting companies for strategic acquisitions and partnerships. He also founded Entertainment Media, an on-screen advertising company with clients like AMC and General Cinemas.
Kean will spearhead ShowBIZData.com’s PR and media outreach efforts. She was previously VP of the L.A. office of London-based praisery Dennis Davidson and Associates, overseeing accounts such as Seven Arts Intl., Pandora Cinema and Miramax Intl. She also handled individual clients, including Ben Kingsley, and promoted films, including “Pulp Fiction,” for DDA.
Hernandez, who comes to ShowBIZData.com from UTA’s lit department, will serve as the company’s key liaison with the film community’s development and production sector.
Company, founded in 1997, provides a Web portal and search engine, a daily entertainment section and entertainment news content, including box office information, development reports, production news, film market calendars and release schedules.
