Metropolis bringing e-commerce to Latam

Anti-monopoly laws had prohibited 'Net services

Metropolis Intercom will offer its digital subscribers access to e-commerce at a cost of $40 by the end of this year, laying claim that it is the first cabler to provide e-commerce in Latin America.

Metropolis Intercom is expected to add more Internet-related services. It had been prohibited from doing so under anti-monopoly laws until this month, when Telefonica CCT Chile finalized the sale of its 40% share in the cabler.
