HOLLYWOOD — Music portal Listen.com tapped Sean Ryan prexy and chief operating officer on Tuesday. Ryan was previously veepee of business development at the Web site.
“Sean has been a key member of the Listen.com executive team from the outset,” said CEO Rob Reid. “He helped create our overall partnership strategy, led our hugely successful business development effort to syndicate our directory and worked to optimize our product development so we would be able to handle the growth we’re experiencing now.”
Before joining Listen.com, Ryan worked for SegaSoft Networks in business development and helped launch the Old Navy clothing line during his tenure at retailer the Gap.
In March, Listen.com closed a $70 million round of venture capital fundraising. All five major music labels have invested in the Netco, which syndicates its music guide to Alta Vista, Lycos and RealNetworks.
