CheckOut.com inks content pact

Ticket.com pacts with netco, gets Wherehouse outlets

Netco CheckOut.com announced Monday that it will syndicate its content to Tickets.com, in exchange for the e-tailer providing ticketing information on the entertainment portal.

“This is an ideal partnership for CheckOut.com,” said Richard Wolpert, CEO of CheckOut.com. “We are able to syndicate our proprietary entertainment content to heighten exposure for CheckOut.com and enhance our entertainment offerings with Tickets.com. Online entertainment fans will clearly benefit from this partnership.”

In addition, CheckOut.com’s Wherehouse Online Store will become the exclusive entertainment merchandise retailer for the Costa Mesa-based Tickets.com

“This new partnership makes Tickets.com an even more complete site because of the natural synergy between our two companies,” said Andrew Donkin, senior veepee of marketing and Internet products group at Tickets.com.

Tickets.com allows Netizens to purchase tickets for everything from the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City to Mary J. Blige’s tour. Shares of Tickets.com closed unchanged at $3.56 on Friday.
