Web sites affiliated with Cable TV networks commandeered 60% of the 1.52 billion media-related page views recorded in July, according to a study done by the Cable Television Advertising Bureau. The study, based on data provided by Nielsen/NetRatings, also found that cable sites garnered a unique audience of 26.1 million in July, roughly equal to those of Broadcast TV, newspaper, radio and magazine sites combined. Among July’s top 10 sites posted by cablers were such usual offline suspects as msnbc.com, espn.go.com, mtv.com and cartoonnetwork.com.
