HOLLYWOOD — Streaming-media company eSynch on Monday tapped former BMG Entertainment exec Joel Schoenfeld to its business advisory board, which will assist the Internet company in implementing video-on-demand services.
“Joel Schoenfeld brings with him 23 years of business and management skills, primarily focusing on business applications and international policy issues impacting e-commerce,” said Tom Hemingway, eSynch chairman. “He is recognized as one of the entertainment industry’s leading experts on international intellectual property, competition and privacy issues. He has developed personal contacts throughout Europe, Asia and Latin America in business and government.”
Schoenfeld was general counsel and senior veepee of legal and business affairs at BMG. Previously, Schoenfeld was general counsel and exec veepee at the Recording Industry Assn. of America, where he also served on the board of directors.
