Alwaysi.com nabs pic ‘On the Q.T.’

Cyberbiz Brief

San Francisco-based indie film Netcaster Alwaysi.com has picked up the exclusive distribution rights to “On the Q.T.” starring Sam Ball (“Urbania”), James Earl Jones, Trudie Styler (“Grave Indiscretion”) and Annie Parisse (“As The World Turns”). Pic is a coming-of-age tale about a 25-year-old untrained violin prodigy in New York who ekes a living playing on subway platforms while waiting to audition for a prestigious music-school fellowship.

Alwaysi acquired the rights to the pic at the IFP Market in New York. Financial terms were not available, but pic is part of Alwaysi’s recently formed sales division that is selling a number of films to offline venues, including homevid.

Elizabeth Schwartz and Yale Storm scripted pic. It was helmed by Yale Storm (“At the Crossroads”), produced by Donald Rabinovitch’s Andes Film Co. (“Route 9”) and Schwartz and exec produced by Jill Oliver.
