Netcaster MediaTrip.com said Tuesday it plans to distrib Web short “George Lucas in Love” on homevid through seven major retail chains including Tower Records, Barnes & Noble, Borders, the Wherehouse and Musicland for $6.99 beginning today.

The nine-minute short film, helmed by Joe Nussbaum and produced by Joseph Levy, has become the most popular pic to hit the Web to date, having been downloaded over 1 million times since its bow last October. It has also sold 13,000 copies exclusively at Amazon.com.
