Cliff O’Sullivan has been elevated from veep to senior veep of marketing and artist development for Universal Music & Video Distribution.
In his new post, O’Sullivan will oversee the distrib’s artist development, merchandising and marketing activities within North America.
Universal Music & Video Distribution prexy Jim Urie — to whom O’Sullivan will report — said, “Cliff has been an incredible marketing executive who has helped Universal Music & Video Distribution create success for so many of our releases. This is a well-deserved promotion.”
Prior to joining Universal, O’Sullivan served as veep of marketing for RCA Records, where he coordinated marketing activities for such successful acts as ‘N Sync and Vertical Horizon. Before that, O’Sullivan held a variety of executive marketing posts with Mercury, Chrysalis and CBS Records.
