Universal Pictures has promoted foreign distribution veteran Jack Ledwith to vice president, international distribution.
Ledwith joined the studio in 1996 as director of planning and analysis, international distribution. In his new post, he will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of international distribution for U’s feature film slate including assessment of release dates and box office results, along with managing and coordinating information from all third-party partners.
“Jack is an invaluable resource to not only my department but to all those who deal with him,” said Nadia Bronson, president of international marketing, distribution and operations. “His experience and resourcefulness coupled with his dedication and enthusiasm make him a key asset for the company. I am pleased to be able to acknowledge him for all of his hard work.”
Ledwith, who will continue to report to Bronson, was director of international sales administration at Carolco Pictures prior to joining Universal. He previously held distribution posts with DeLaurentiis Entertainment Group, Embassy Pictures and Avco embassy Pictures.
