HOLLYWOOD — Jamie Sykes, formerly a Disney marketing director for its ESPN Zone entertainment centers, was named VP of national promotions at Universal Pictures Tuesday.
Sykes will be responsible for securing and developing national promotion programs for domestic film releases and homevideo titles from Universal Pictures and Universal Home Video. She will report to Beth Goss, senior VP of national promotions for Universal Pictures Marketing.
Sykes “brings with her a tremendous amount of experience in the sports, entertainment and consumer worlds, and her energy and enthusiasm fit right in,” Goss said.
Prior to Disney Regional Entertainment, Sykes worked for the National Football League as marketing director, developing promotional programs for NFL sponsors and licensees and spearheading the league’s marketing efforts targeting female fans.
