NEW YORK — Veteran Nickelodeon Movies exec Rebecca Poole has been appointed to the newly created position of VP, production, at AniManagement.
The move is part of the Burbank-based animation management/production banner’s efforts to expand into animated and live-action film production.
Poole, who was most recently manager, creative affairs, at Nick Movies, will work closely with the management division’s existing clients and be responsible for acquiring and developing original material.
“We’re focusing on a diverse slate of features that will hopefully do for animation what Miramax has done for live action,” said Poole.
Prior to joining Nick in 1994, Poole worked at American Zoetrope. She will report to AniManagement partner Jim Strader, who oversees the company’s burgeoning feature film division.
Among the clients repped by AniManagement are Eric Fogel, creator of MTV’s “Celebrity Deathmatch,” and DNA Prods., which is developing the 3D animated pic “Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius” with Steve Oedekerk and Nickelodeon.
