Studios USA has tapped former Unapix exec veep and general sales manager Bruce Casino VP of cable and ancillary sales for the company.
Casino will be responsible for sales to cable of Universal’s TV library (which is distribbed domestically by Studios USA Domestic TV) as well as the company’s firstrun and off-net series. In addition, he will oversee sales of the 100-plus title USA Film library, which includes “Being John Malkovich” and “The Apostle,” to the major outlets.
“We are very fortunate to have someone with the level of experience in program and film package sales that Bruce brings to this critical position,” said SUDT prexy Steve Rosenberg. “He is a consummate professional who is well respected in the industry.”
In addition to his work at Unapix, Casino served as a senior veep at Pearson/All-American Syndication, where he sold programs including “Baywatch.”
