Fox Searchlight has expanded its marketing team with two new hires, bringing on Stephanie Allen as senior VP of creative advertising and new media and Flavia Amon as director, audiovisual creative advertising.
The moves continue the restructuring of the division’s marketing corps under Nancy Utley, who last year moved from Fox’s main division to Searchlight as president of marketing.
Allen will supervise all aspects of creative advertising, including audiovisual and print. She’ll also be responsible for creating a marketing presence on the Web for Searchlight, the specialty arm of Fox Filmed Entertainment.
Allen has been a marketing vice president at Orion Pictures and TriStar Pictures, and was most recently director of creative convergence for New York ad agency Digital Pulp, which focuses on Web-based businesses. She’s also a screenwriter who’s worked for Hollywood Pictures, MGM and CBS.
Amon will oversee post-production and finishing of audiovisual marketing materials. She was vice president of post-production and marketing at Hammer Filmworks, where she produced trailers and ads for Miramax, New Line, Warner Bros. and USA Films.
Fox Searchlight’s next release is the Penelope Cruz starrer “Woman on Top,” due in September.
