Former Studio Babelsberg chief Friedrich-Carl Wachs is heading back to Babelsberg, this time as CEO of entertainment investment firm Producers’ AG.

Founded last year at Babelsberg by a consortium of German investment firms, the film financing and investment outfit actively acquires stakes in media companies and is branching out into TV, video, DVD, infotainment, edutainment and games.

Company holds stakes in Munich firms Hager Moss Film, MTM Cineteve and TV-60 Filmproduktion.

Dietmar Thiele, a former media investment expert, is replacing Wolfgang Esterer as chief financial officer.
