NEW YORK — Ruth Pomerance has ankled her post as head of Artist Management Group’s New York office after 18 months.
Cathy Schulman, head of AMG’s Artists Production Group, said Drew Reed will now oversee the story department, and that AMG is promoting Patrick Flannery to the post story editor.
Reed will continue the ongoing effort to establish permanent Gotham headquarters to house AMG and the recently acquired Violator Records.
Pomerance will immediately begin consulting for Robert Chartoff and Lynn Hendee at Chartoff Prods., and serve the same role for lit agents Jennifer Walsh and Virginia Barber. Barber and Walsh are evaluating their backlists for screen and Internet potential.
In addition to building a story department for AMG in New York, Pomerance participated in AMG’s merger with Joel Gotler and Irv Schwartz’s Renaissance, and brought in such projects as “Twilight Zone at the Pentagon,” a magazine article to be adapted into a feature by AMG client Penny Marshall.
