WB Network vet Rusty Mintz has been upped to senior VP of program scheduling for the Frog web.
Mintz, who’s been with the net since just before its January 1995 launch, will continue to supervise all primetime and Kids’ WB! skedding, focusing on the day-to-day maintenance of the sked. He reports to WB exec VP of programming Jordan Levin, who announced Mintz’s promotion Friday.
“Rusty has grown along with the network,” Levin said. He “brings great insight and consistent strategy to his position. He has been an integral part of the WB’s success story.”
Mintz took over as head of scheduling in January 1997, a little more than two years after he joined the web.
In addition to serving as senior VP of scheduling, Mintz will remain director of current programming. In that post he reports to WB current programming senior VP John Litvack.
Before inking with the Frog, Mintz was a research analyst for Lorimar Television, which became Warner Bros. Television.
