David McFarland has been named to the newly created position of VP, affiliate advertising sales and distribution marketing at Lifetime Entertainment Services, the company announced Monday.
Based in the company’s Los Angeles office, McFarland will oversee affiliate advertising sales and distribution marketing for Lifetime Television and Lifetime Movie Network. He’ll also be involved in strategic planning for the company’s distribution efforts.
“David’s tremendous experience will be incredibly valuable as he partners with our cable operators to enhance their local ad sales efforts, create more co-branding opportunities and provide strategic support on our award-winning public affairs campaigns,” said exec VP of distribution and business development Louise Henry Bryson, to whom McFarland will report.
McFarland moves to Lifetime from Fox Family Channels, where he was VP of affiliate advertising sales. Before that he served as director of affiliate advertising sales at Comedy Central and as a regional sales manager at Cox Communications.
