The Hollywood Film and Broadcast Labor Council has renamed itself the Hollywood Entertainment Labor Council and elected Screen Actors Guild exec Leonard Chassman to a two-year term as president.
Chassman, SAG’s Hollywood executive director, replaces the retiring Gene Allen, who was named president emeritus.
Also elected to two-year terms for the org, which reps 300,000 workers in three dozen unions, were Scott Roth of Intl. Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 876, first VP; Paul Peterson, IATSE Local 767, second VP; G. Lynd Bingham, IATSE Local 33, third VP; and H. O’Neil Shanks, secretary-treasurer.
Named as vice presidents at large were Bill Elias, IATSE Local 700; Hal Espinosa, Professional Musicians Local 47; Pamm Fair, American Federation of Television & Radio Artists; Gavin Kopn, IATSE Local 816; and Bryan Unger, Directors Guild of America.
Three vice presidents at large will continue their terms for another year — Bruce Doering, IATSE Local 600; Carole Frazier, Local 892; and Richard Gabriel, American Federation of Musicians.
