EM.TV says revs will zoom

Company aquires stake in Jim Henson Co.

BERLIN — Munich-based EM.TV expects revenues to soar from DM300 million ($147 million) last year to $735 million in 2000, company CEO and founder Thomas Haffa said Tuesday.

Speaking at the Chamber of Commerce in Munich, Haffa said he will float Formula One holding company in the next 18 months or buy out the remaining 50%.

EM.TV last month acquired a 50% stake in Formula One racing as well as the Muppets creators the Jim Henson Co.

EM.TV’s core business is kidvid sales and production. It also holds stakes in Germany’s second largest rights trader Tele-Munchen and German film vet Constantin Film.
