Darrow tapped NBC Enterprises veep

Strategic planning ex-Simitar man's bailiwick

Entertainment attorney Andrew Darrow has been tapped VP of NBC Enterprises.

He will oversee strategic content planning and exploitation for the Peacock’s global distribution arm in the areas of domestic homevideo, publishing, licensing, merchandising, direct response channels and e-commerce.

Darrow joins NBC from Simitar Entertainment, where he served as exec veepee. Company, based in Minneapolis, creates, acquires, licenses and distributes music and filmed entertainment for CD, DVD, VHS and other formats.

“Andy is a rare individual who has both a business background and a creative sensibility,” said NBC Enterprises exec veep Jerry Petry. “He will help set a strategic direction, develop models for our ancillary businesses and create, design and conceptualize products for e-commerce. We welcome him to our team.”
