Steven Klappholz has been tapped exec director of development, a newly created post, at the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences Foundation.
Klappholz will steer fund-raising operations for the org’s educational programs and library collections, including the Archive of American Television, an ongoing project to chronicle the history of TV.
“Steven comes to the foundation with a wealth of experience and exceptional relationships,” said ATAS prexy Jim Chabin. “His role is critical to the future growth and prosperity of the institution.”
Most recently, Klappholz spent 11 years raising funds for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. During his tenure, the hospital secured over $140 million for its programs. Prior to Cedars-Sinai, Klappholz served as director of the community relations council for the San Diego County Jewish Federation.
