Frosher helped Frog net boost femme ratings

The WB has picked up the back nine segs of the frosh drama “Jack & Jill.”

Airing at 9 p.m. Sundays, “Jack” — produced by Warner Bros. Television and the Canton Co. — has helped the Frog net boost its femme 18-34 Nielsen ratings by an impressive 38% versus the time-period average last season. Among femmes 12-34, the improvement has been even more dramatic, with the show posting year-to-year gains of 45% to rank in the top 20 among teen girls.

” ‘Jack & Jill’ features one of the most talented ensemble casts on television and we believe if we’re patient, it will be a distinctive hit for the WB,” said Frog entertainment prexy Susanne Daniels.

Ivan Sergei and Amanda Peet star in “Jack & Jill,” a romantic drama about two young lovers who meet almost by accident. Jaime Pressly and Simon Rex also star.

Randi Mayem Singer and Mark Canton are the exec producers of the skein.
