Rogan inks Fox sitcom pact

Former 'Newsradio' thesp to develop skein for new season

Former “NewsRadio” thesp Joe Rogan has landed at Fox Broadcasting, where he has a deal to develop a sitcom for fall 2000.

Rogan played resident electrician Joe Garelli on “NewsRadio,” the NBC sitcom that lasted 4 1/2 seasons before getting the ax last spring.

Rogan also starred in the Paul Simms pilot “Overseas,” but NBC eventually passed on the project.

Thesp’s credits also include the short-lived Fox series “Hardball.” Rogan has signed a deal with Warner Bros. Records to release the comedy album “You’re All Going to Die” in mid-2000.

Rogan is repped by Megan Silverman at the Gersh Agency and manager Jeff Sussman.
