NBC skeds summer-switch lineup

'Will & Grace,' 'Law & Order' get double exposure

NBC plans to double-pump episodes of “Law & Order” and “Will & Grace” this summer, while launching the reality series “You Asked for It.”

The hour-long “You Asked for It,” from Nash Entertainment, Sandy Frank Entertainment and NBC Studios, debuts Aug. 1 at 8 p.m., leading into the Sunday movie.

NBC also will run a two-hour movie Saturday nights from 9-11 p.m., following “The Pretender,” starting June 19. “Profiler” won’t air this summer.

“Will & Grace” will air Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:30 until July 8, when “Frasier” and “Just Shoot Me” repeats will take over the Thursday slot.

“Law & Order” will also receive double exposure, airing Wednesdays at 10 p.m. and Mondays at 9 p.m., where NBC is preparing viewers for the new “Law & Order” spinoff this fall.

“Veronica’s Closet” moves to its new home of Mondays at 8:30 p.m. on July 19, and “Jesse” returns to Thursdays at 8:30 p.m. on May 27.
