NBC ices ‘Cold Feet’

'Law & Order' to fill skein's shoes

NBC has pulled the plug on frosh drama “Cold Feet” after just four low-rated broadcasts.

The relationship-oriented skein, a co-production of Granada Entertainment and NBC Studios, has already halted production and is not skedded to return to the Peacock lineup. NBC plans to temporarily fill “Feet’s” 10 p.m. Friday slot with repeats of “Law & Order.”

Eight segs of “Cold Feet” had been shot through last week. The four unaired segs will either be burnt off next summer or shelved completely.

With a low-rated repeat of “Freaks and Geeks” serving as a lead-in, last Friday’s broadcast of “Cold Feet” delivered a meager 3.4 rating/6 share, NBC’s lowest-ever homes rating in the hour with firstrun programming. Over four broadcasts, “Feet” averaged a frosty 4.9/9.

NBC isn’t likely to permanently fill the 10 p.m. slot until January. One possible contender: “The Others,” a sci-fi drama from DreamWorks.
