Los Angeles WB affiliate KTLA has revamped its syndicated lineup for the new season with a pair of debuting action hours, Richard Simmons and a slew of off-net programs.
The station will begin the new sked on Sept. 20, with Tribune’s “Richard Simmons’ Dream Maker,” in the mornings from 10 to 11. Off-net broadcasts of “The Wayans Bros.” and “Caroline in the City” have been slated for 5:30 p.m. and 11 p.m., respectively.
Added to the Saturday lineup will be reruns of Warner Bros.’ “The Parent Hood” at 6 p.m. starting Sept. 25. Also on Saturdays will be a duo of action hours: New Line’s “Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s the Lost World” will run at 1 p.m. beginning Oct. 2, while Tribune’s “BeastMaster” will begin a week later at 4 p.m.
“BeastMaster” producers recently firmed Aussie actor Daniel Goddard to a two-year deal to star as lead character Dar in the new weekly series, which is produced by Alliance Atlantis and Coote/Hayes Prods. in association with Tribune. Goddard had previously been working on European sudser hit “Home and Away.”
Grace Jones has signed a deal to guest star in “BeastMaster” for an episode to air during the November sweeps.
