Special event producer Bob Holmes, the brains behind NBC’s upfront primetime sales presentations, press tours and affil conventions, has re-upped his deal at the net for two more years.
Staying put as NBC’s executive in charge of production, Holmes will also continue to oversee all the network’s on-air promo shoots. He will still report to NBC Enterprises exec VP Jerry Petry.
“We are quite fortunate to have someone of Bob Holmes’ expertise guide us through these events,” said NBC West Coast prexy Scott Sassa. “His dedication to making every function a major success is his hallmark.”
Before drumming up buzz for NBC, Holmes formed part of the Disney Channel’s original launch team, producing many of the cabler’s first promo campaigns. In 1991, Holmes rose to exec director of creative development at the Disney Channel, supervising all its short-form programming.
Holmes rejoined NBC’s promo department in 1995, returning to the division after leaving for Disney in 1983.
