BVT finalizes prod’n team for talk cooker ‘Harriott’

Griffin to exec produce syndicated skein

Buena Vista Television has finalized the production team behind new daytime talk strip “The Ainsley Harriott Show,” which debuts Jan. 10. Merv Griffin will exec produce the syndicated skein, produced by Valleycrest Prods. in association with Merv Griffin Entertainment and BVT.

Talkshow vet Joni Holder will co-exec produce the cooking show/entertainment talk hybrid. Dan Berg will direct, and John Verhoff will serve as supervising producer.

Holder’s credits include exec producing the Twentieth Television/Eyemark talker “The Gordon Elliott Show,” serving as a producer on King World’s “Oprah Winfrey Show” and Paramount’s “Montel Williams Show,” co-exec producing the NBC daytime strip “The Other Side” and handling supervising producer duties on Group W’s “Marilu.”

Most recently, Holder exec produced the live daily talker “Positively Texas!” in Dallas for Gaylord Entertainment.

Berg has directed for BVT’s “Live With Regis and Kathie Lee” and served as second-unit director on several feature films. He’s also handled directing stints at NBC, Fox, Fashion Network Television, New York Fox affil WNYW and Boston NBC affil WHDH.

Verhoff was most recently senior producer on Court TV’s “Pros & Cons.” Other credits include BVT’s “Live With Regis and Kathie Lee,” Fox News Channel’s “That Regan Woman” and productions for Lifetime, ABC and CBS.
