More than 1,500 entertainment industry players attended the City of Hope’s “Spirit of Life” annual gala held Wednesday on the Warner Bros. lot. The gathering raised more than $3.5 million for the charity, which helps fight cancer, leukemia and AIDS.
The event, which honored the music industry and philanthropic accomplishments of Warner Bros. Records prexy Phil Quartararo, was sub-titled “From Brooklyn to Burbank” and fittingly utilized the lot’s New York street.
The evening concluded with an outdoor, all-star concert featuring perfs by Faith Hill and k.d. lang backed by a David Foster-led band boasting some of the industry’s top session players and sidemen.
