To “Home Improvement” cast members, there’s definitely no place like home. But the crew had to say goodbye to their residence of eight seasons at Friday night’s series wrap party.
Before entering the Walt Disney Studio’s Stage 2 bash, “Home” heavyweight Tim Allen stopped to pay his respects. “I had a home here, and I love how I was treated,” he said. “Hey, I’ve been here longer than most executives.”
Still, the future looks bright for the tool-lovin’ Taylors. “I’ve got a two-picture deal with Disney and I’m in talks to do another big film,” Zachery Ty Bryan told Daily Variety.
And cast member Taran Smith said his farewells with a smile, swinging with party guests to the live tunes of hipster band Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
All the honorees, including other series stars Patricia Richardson, Earl Hindman, Richard Karn and Debbe Dunning, got up on stage to give kudos to their production staff and loyal fans.
“Home Improvement,” produced by Wind Dancer Production Group in association with Touchstone Television, will air its 90-minute season finale May 25 at 8 p.m. on ABC.
