HOLLYWOOD — Inseparable cohorts fashion and beauty linked arms with those other party favorites glamour and booze Thursday night at the launch party for an ad campaign from Gucci and Absolut vodka. Seagram prexy and CEO Edgar Bronfman Jr. and Absolut prexy Goran Lundqvist hosted the evening at the Hollywood club Arena.
Tom Ford, creative director of the design house, and the vodka company have teamed up to create an eight-page ad spread featuring Absolut-inspired clothes and accessories, which will debut in the June issue of Vogue. In true feel-good form, both parties will make donations to AIDS Project Los Angeles.
At Arena, Gucci-clad models sported the latest in vodka-inspired fashion — beaded jeans, sequined pants, rhinestone bikinis, briefs and T-shirts.
Party atmosphere was not for the shy or squeamish as shirtless bartenders and strong cocktails inspired partygoers to hit the dance floor with reckless abandon.
Festivities brought out an interesting mix, including Charlize Theron and rock-star beau Stephen Jenkins of Third Eye Blind, Stephen Dorff, Luke Owen and Andrew Wilson, Daisy Fuentes, Juliette Lewis, Maria Conchita Alonso, Jerry O’Connell, Joely Fisher, Christopher Ciccone, Stephen Baldwin, James Coburn, Dennis Hopper, Lukas Haas, Jennifer Tilly and Ben Savage.
